Brandon Elliott

A Memorial Service for Brandon F. Elliott was held Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Jamaica Community Center. Hastings Funeral Home in Perry was in charge of these arrangements. Brandon Fredrick Elliott, son of Gerri Lynn Elliott Gonzalez, was born April 28, 1981 in the Dallas County Hospital, Perry, Iowa and died May 15, 2015 at his home in Yale, Iowa at the age of 34. Brandon went to school in Perry and graduated from Perry High School in 1996. After high school he went to Metro Community College in Omaha and studied Culinary Arts. Brandon worked as a cook at the Hotel Pattee, then at the Port in Panora. On July 12, 2009 Brandon and Desiray Ure were united in marriage. He enjoyed skateboarding, golfing and music. Brandon was proceeded in death by his grandfather Fredrick Mark Elliott, grandmother Mary Julia Bell Elliott, and great-grandmother Helen Elliott. Brandon is survived by his wife Desiray Elliott of Yale; mother Gerri Gonzalez of Perry; sisters Amber Houghtaling (Jason) of Bellevue, NE and Baily Hernandez (Cesar) of Perry; nieces & nephews: Hali Houghtaling, Chason Houghtaling, Cali Hernandez, Cole Hernandez and Cloe Hernandez; grandma Cathy Elliott of Jamaica; aunts Lisa Elliott of Altoona, Kimberly Jappa (Marty) of Bellevue. N E and Kelly Smith (Andy) of Perry; uncle David Elliott of Jamaica; mother-in-law Teresa Sue Ure; father-in-law Joseph Eugen Ure; sisters-in-law Brittney Nicole Ure and Sabrina Joe Ure; brother-in-law Michael David Ure; grandparents-in-law Rillia Rea Mills and David Willard Mills; other relatives and many friends.
