Cerie Anne Garton

Cerie Anne Garton, 64, passed away February 16, 2016 at home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 26 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 27 at the funeral home. Cerie was born March 12, 1951 in Chariton, Iowa to Tom and Jane Garton. She graduated from Hoover High School and spent most of her career in the insurance industry. Cerie enjoyed traveling, going to concerts and spending time with friends and family typically around the dining room table. You would often find her at the Civic Center, where she was a season ticket holder. Cerie was best known for her annual Christmas brunch. Cerie is survived by her sisters, Julie (Bob) Fetters and Wendee Molano; nieces and nephews, Adam and Michelle Fetters, Amanda and Matt Scherbring and Sophia Molano; great nephew, Fox Fetters; her other mother, Marge Watsabaugh and Marges sons, Dennis and Doug and their families. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial contributions may be given to NARAL or NORML.
