Cherene (Corbin) Taylor

Cherene Taylor, 62, formerly of Winterset, passed away November 4, 2018, in Webster City. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset; where her family will be present during this time. Burial at a later date in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Ames. Memorials may be directed to the family and online condolences can be left at ochiltree.com. Cherene Noveline Taylor, daughter of Virgil and Betty (Litchfield) Corbin, was born on May 24, 1956, in Des Moines. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1974, and later obtained an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Vatterott College. Cherene worked for Eaton Corporation and later for Marsh McLennan Insurance. She enjoyed visiting the casino and crocheting. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She is survived by her children, Nikki (Austin) Stone of Webster City; Commodore Taylor of Webster City; Allysa Taylor of Winterset; sisters, Doreen “Dodie” (Mike) Caudle; Norine “Katie” Corbin (Kevan Lewis) of Winterset; grandchildren, Emma Jean Piper; Jeremiah Piper; Elyzabith Piper; Rhea Stone; niece, Juliaray Corbin; nephew, Cameron Caudle; great-nephew, Carson Caudle; extended family and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Betty Corbin; daughter, Patricia Taylor; grandparents, Orville and Julia Corbin; Commodore and Lucille Litchfield.
