Curtis Dean Bruns

Curtis D. Bruns 83, passed away November 6, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Van Meter Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9 where family will greet them from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Curtis was born to Fred and Elise Bruns April 27, 1933. Curtis was a veteran in the Armed Services who loved car racing and his family. He worked as a truck driver most of his life. He is survived by his wife, DeAnna of 38 years, three step children, nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one brother, three sisters and his beloved dog, Toby. He was preceded by his parents and three brothers. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project. Online condolences may be left on this site.
