David Lee Reves

David Reves, 73 of Adel, passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2022 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A celebration of David’s life will take place Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - McCalley Chapel in Adel, with a visitation beginning at 2:00 pm and a funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

David Lee Reves was born March 12, 1949 to Harry and Vera (Hunter) Reves in Des Moines, IA. David graduated from Adel-DeSoto High School in 1967. David was a long time Adel resident where he raised his family. He spent his working career as an insurance auditor for the state of Iowa until his retirement. David was a man of many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed the great outdoors where he would camp and fish and was a proud advocate for the NRA. He enjoyed traveling the countryside as well as being a great dog sitter for his family. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his quick witted humor and undying loyalty to his family. His family will be comforted by memories of the wonderful times and travels they enjoyed together.

He is survived by his children Nichole Greteman, John (Amber) Reves, Richard Reves; grandchildren Morgan and Harper Greteman; sister Susan Bish; niece McKenzie (Cy) Lyle; great-niece Hadleigh; great-nephew Hutton; aunts Dorothy Bose, Laura Kay Warford, Phyllis Hunter, Kathy Hunter, Kathy Hunter and Rita Reves; as well as his four legged grandbabies.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant niece Lindsey and nephew William.
