Debra “Debbie” Kay Wildin, 65, of Wellman, IA, (formerly of Adel), passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at her home. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 12, 2022, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - McCalley Chapel in Adel beginning at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held beginning at 1:00 PM until the beginning of the service. A graveside service will take place following the funeral service at Clayton Cemetery in Rural Booneville.
Debbie was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Howard K. and Evelyn I. (Hansen) Clayton. She graduated from Adel-DeSoto High School in 1975. Debbie worked for Dallas County Care Facility, Adel, for over 20-years, and ended her work career at REM Iowa, Iowa City. Debbie was a simple person who enjoyed playing cards, drinking coffee and being with her dog, Percy. She was a loving caring person and enjoyed being around family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rachel (Bill) Erb, Coralville and Melissa (Tim) Grienke, Superior; grandchildren, Autumn, Alexis and Abigail Erb, Coralville, Bernard Erb, Pocahontas, Bethany Erb, Humboldt and Kyle (Beth) Erb, Olin; great-grandchildren, Travis, Makenna, Aiden, and Andrew, sisters, Cathy (Mark) Jorgensen, Adel, Marianne (Mike) Lloyd, Spirit Lake, and Ginger Coon, Cedar Rapids, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Debbie was preceded in death: (Parents) Howard K. and Evelyn I. (Hansen) Clayton, (Grandparents) Jerry C. and Dollie I. (Landers) Clayton, (Grandparents) Clyde C. and Edith (Hale) Hansen.
