Dennis Schwabe

Dennis Schwabe, 72, of Earlham, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel with family receiving friends one hour prior. Burial will take place at the McDonald-Chase Cemetery with a luncheon at the Lorimor Community Building to follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation.

Dennis Ray Schwabe was born on August 2, 1950, to Mr. Earl Schwabe “Bud” & Mrs. Geraldine Schwabe “Jerry” in Winterset, IA. During his life he served in the U.S. Air Force for 17 years, then became an over the road truck driver, and loved riding motorcycles his entire life.

In his passing, he was proceeded by both paternal & maternal grandparents, his parents, Earl & Geraldine Schwabe,  sister, Cyndi Aukes (Schwabe), and brother, , Rick Schwabe.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Pamela Schwabe; brothers, Glen Schwabe of Kansas; his children: Kimberly McKinley (Tania) – Gulfport, MS, Kenneth Le Batard – Hampton, IA, Michele Michaelson – Des Moines, IA, Rodger Schwabe – Earlham, IA, Amanda Schwabe – Knoxville, IL, Mike Schwabe (Jeanette) – Lorimor, IA; 17 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
