Donald "Corney" Little

Donald Lloyd "Corney" Little, 90, passed away March 6, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - Winterset Chapel.  Family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, just prior to his service.  Burial will take place in the North McDonald Cemetery near Winterset.

Donald was born February 10, 1934 in Winterset, Iowa to Clarence and Geneva (Addy) Little.  He attended Winterset High School before becoming a truck driver.  He started driving for Earl "Shorty" Thomas, later for Cooper Truck Lines, and retiring from BB&P.

On February 10, 1953 Donald married Marilyn Zika and they celebrated their 71st anniversary on February 10, 2024.  Donald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He always looked forward to family time.  He made each one feel loved and special.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, finding mushrooms, trips to the casino, and going dirt track racing.

Donald is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Tom (Amy) of Sergeant Bluff, Lynette (Robert) Wilson of Plattsmouth, NE, Pam (Steve) May of Winterset, Don (Teresa) of Des Moines, and Loretta (Jeff) Bryant of Lenexa, KS; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold and Vernon Little; and sisters, Ruth Johnston and Myrna Moore.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Centerwell Home Health and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care for Dad and comfort for the entire family.
