Dorothy E. McCarville Des Moines Dorothy Eileen (Zeller) McCarville, 86, passed away Friday, March 14. 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday March 17, at Caldwell Raddatz Funeral Home in Urbandale. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm. Burial will be Tuesday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m., in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Cresco, IA. Dorothy enjoyed genealogy, traveling, knitting, embroidery, and cross-stitch. She loved family reunions and was a member of Highland Park Lutheran Church for over 60 years. Over the years she made many friends with the Merle Hay Mall walkers. Dorothy is survived by her husband, of 64 years, Harold; children, Patricia (Charles) Ryen of Springfield, MO, David (JoAnn) McCarville of Chicago, IL, Mark (Sally) McCarville of Shoreview, MN, Susan Dunsky of Des Moines, IA, and Douglas (Miriam) McCarville of Seattle,WA; brother, Richard Zeller of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Shaunda Bradley, Chad McCarville, Anthony A. Dunsky, Katherine Metzel, Christopher Ryen, Alison McCarville, and Daniel McCarville; great grandchildren, Anthony J. Dunsky, Nolan Ryen, Adele Metzel, Sophia Bradley, and Aidan Ryen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Red Cross or Hope Ministries.
