Dorothy L. Endres

Burial: Greenfield Cemetery. Memorials: May be directed to the family. Dorothy Leone was born March 24, 1928 in Madison County, Iowa, the daughter of Allen and Leone (Duff) Farwell. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1946. She married Lloyd H. Endres on July 24, 1948 and to this union three children were born, Freda, Mickey, and Dotty. Dorothy was a homemaker and mother and worked as a housekeeper for several years. She also worked for the Adair County Hospital for over 20 years. Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Greenfield, a member of a Church of the Nazarene in Winterset and a PTA member in Greenfield. She loved cooking, sewing, crocheting, and most especially, she loved her family and any opportunity to have family dinners. Dorothy died August 6, 2010 at the Winterset Care Center North. She was 82. Dorothy is survived by her children, Freda (Pete) Scanlan of Massena, Mickey Jameson and Dotty Teas of Winterset; one sister, LaVaun Wright of Stuart; eleven grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd; a brother, Raymond Farwell; two sisters, Inez Bennett and Charlotte Forsyth; and one great-grandchild, Victoria Taylor.
