Jacob Hanson

Jacob (Jake) Andre Hanson, 27, died October 1, 2019 at his home in Johnston, Iowa. He was born on September 3, 1992 in Estherville, Iowa, the son of Tony and Laura (Mitchell) Hanson. Jake attended Pekin Community Schools and Johnston Community Schools where he graduated in 2011. He later received a degree in Religious Studies from Iowa State University. Jake had a great love of music, books, and movies. He began playing the guitar at an early age and even started to teach others. Jake loved animals especially his two cats. Lately you could find him cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals with his mom and dad. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and love of family. Those left to remember Jake include his parents, Tony and Laura Hanson of Johnston, Iowa, two sisters, Abby (Hanson) Feick and Brad Feick of Granger, Iowa, and Lauren Hanson of Johnston, Iowa as well as grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jake was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Loren Mitchell and John Hanson.
