Jeffrey Owen Stanzyk - Waukee

Jeff Stanzyk of Waukee passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 8, 2014. Jeff was born on July 11, 1957 in Carroll, Iowa to Donavon and Helene Stanzyk. He was baptized on August 25, 1957 and later confirmed on April 4, 1971 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll, Iowa. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1975. He attended DMACC in Ankeny, receiving an Accounting Degree. He began his career at Ramco Innovations as their accountant and was a key builder of the company for 37 years. Jeff married his wife Barb 32 years ago on June 12, 1982. They raised their family on a small acreage in Waukee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coaching softball, ISU Football Games and pool nights with the guys. He was a loving and devoted husband, son, brother, father and grandfather. Jeff leaves behind his wife, Barb; 4 children, Christal (Stephen), Melany (Paul), Mathew (Teresa), Cortney (Matt); 8 grandchildren, Zachary, Samantha, Owen, Lohgan, Noah, Evelynn, Ella and Evan; his mother, Helene; 4 brothers, Don Jr., Stan, Ted and Rick; 3 sisters, Cheri, Patty and Lynne; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donavon, a brother, Randy and a sister, Kandy. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 14th at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel, Iowa with Pastor Roger Schlaefer officiating. Friends may call at McCalley Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 13th from 2-7 p.m., the family will be present from 5-7 p.m., with a Prayer Service following. Casket Bearers will be Mathew Stanzyk, Stephen Ballou, Paul Forbes, Matthew Krause, Stan Stanzyk, Rick Stanzyk and honorary Casket Bearer, Ted Stanzyk.
