Joseph Roy Fuson

Joe Fuson, age 65 of Granger, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. His family will host a Celebration of his life on Thursday November 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Granger. Memorials will be given to his family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Joseph Roy Fuson was born on July 5, 1958, at Des Moines, Iowa to Donald Dean and Mary Jane (Berglund) Fuson. He graduated from Woodward Granger High School with the class of 1976. He worked at Tones Spices in Ankeny, and the Woodward Academy in Woodward, until retiring in 2021. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Granger and the Masons. He enjoyed anything sports related including watching the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals, the Iowa Hawkeyes, grandchildrens events and collecting trading cards. He spent a lot of time with his dog Woodson, who he loved dearly, cooking, and spending time with his family. In death he rejoins his parents Don and Jane Fuson, and a brother, Ken Fuson. Left to cherish Joes memory are his children, Shannon (Jason) Sutton, Shane Fuson, and Bradley Fuson, stepdaughter Heather (Ryan) Hoyme and her children Brayden and Liam, grandchildren, MacKenzie Morris and Hendrix Fuson, nephews, Max and Jesse Fuson and Jared Reese.
