Kenneth Paul Beck "Ken"

Kenneth Paul Beck was born on January 18, 1959 in Jefferson, Iowa to Francis Leo Beck and Ellen Louise (Schriner) Beck. He went to school in Jefferson, until his family moved to Minnesota. Ken was an avid wrestler and football player. His football team even won the State Championship. He graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1977. Shortly after he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Ken loved going golfing, fishing, and socializing with his friends and family. He liked watching TV shows, especially the Minnesota Vikings football games. Ken would always be in the stands cheering on his nephews at their wrestling meets. He died on February 13, 2024 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 65. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim Beck and John Beck, sister Rebecca "Becky" Durbin, and brother-in-law Donnie Parker. His memory will forever be in the hearts of his siblings: Colleen Gray of Perry, Iowa; Pat Schiltz (Gary) of Jefferson, Iowa; Bobbi Tarlton (Randy) of Johnston, Iowa; Polly Parker of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; Phillip Beck of Bagley, Iowa; Mary Book (Bill) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Therese Lohr (Stan) of Des Moines, Iowa; Fran Bookwalter (Dan) of Keyser, West Virginia; and Maggie Thompson (Glenn) of Perry, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives, and many friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
