Larry Linn

Larry Lee Linn, age 84, of Adel, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Perry Lutheran Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - McCalley Chapel in Adel, with visitation one hour prior, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Larry. Larry was born on July 23, 1937, to Wilber and Evelyn (Brown) Linn. He grew up in the Des Moines area and graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1955. Following graduation, he attended Iowa State University. He married Sharon Linn on November 26, 1971, in Albert Lea, MN. Larry later moved on to become self-employed and sold tools for Merrill Company and Arnold Motor Supply. Larry loved to play a lot of golf. He enjoyed watching his Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time out at Prairie Meadows. He and his wife Sharon raised horses and Doberman dogs on their farm in rural Adel. He also enjoyed spending time watching old westerns and attending the Good Guy’s Car Shows. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; and his parents, Wilber and Evelyn Linn. He is survived by his daughter, Shawn Bebout; grandchildren, Matthew (Joanna Frankford) Battani and Kathryn Battani; and great grandson, Callum Battani.
