After retirement, they enjoyed visiting her brother, Louis, at his home in Florida. In addition to her church membership, Lena was involved with the V.F.W. & Legion Auxiliary, Tops, Winterset Chamber of Commerce, St. Paul Comforters, and Christian Women’s Club.
