Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Lorimor Baptist Church in Lorimor. Burial: Murray Cemetery, Clarke County at a later date. Memorials: Lorimor Baptist Church and the Greater Regional Hospice of Creston. Lloyd Keith Harrison was born on June 10, 1945 in Madison County, Iowa, the son of Frank Donald and Beulah (Hayden) Harrison. He attended school in Lorimor where he graduated in 1964. After high school, he went on to attend mechanics school in Kansas City, Missouri. He later married Eva Bindel on July 6, 1968 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset and to this union three children were born, Violet Ruth, Keith Floyd and Kenneth Lloyd. His first job was with Smitty’s Garage in Ogden, Iowa. He later joined the National Guard for 6 years. He held numerous jobs with the most recent being with Bud Wilder of Osceola for 10 years, Jimmie Dean’s of Osceola for 14 years, and Iowa Select Farms for 10 years until his health began to decline. Lloyd was an active member of the Lorimor Baptist Church. He spent most of his life in the Lorimor area and liked being on the farm, even after moving to town. He enjoyed taking his dog for rides, especially out to his mother’s farm. Lloyd died January 10, 2011 at the Afton Care Center in Afton. He was 65. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Eva of Lorimor; his daughter Violet Ruth Lehmer (husband, Louis) of Lorimor; his sons, Keith Floyd and Kenneth Lloyd, both of Winterset; his mother, Beulah of Murray; two brothers Ronald Kay (wife, Michelle) of Fredrick, WI and Donavon Duane (special friend, Darla Jenks) of rural Murray; a sister, Bonnie Jean Klippenes (husband, Mike) of St. Louis Park, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Donald; his grandparents; a nephew, Garrett Harrison; two aunts, three uncles, and several cousins.
