Lois M. Lamborn

Lois M. Lamborn was born December 3, 1938 in St. Louis County, Missouri, the daughter of Louis and Leona (Wooldridge) Moeller. She graduated from Herculanium High School in Missouri and later attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri and Ouachita College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to Richard Lamborn August 15, 1958 at the First Baptist Church in Arnold, Missouri and to this union 3 children were born, Rick, Esther, and Miriam. She is survived by her husband, Richard Lamborn; her children, Richard ‘Rick’ (Sharon) Lamborn Jr, of St. Petersburg, FL., Esther (Barry) Huhn of Overland Park, KS., and Miriam (Aaron) McNutt of Raleigh, NC; and her siblings, Walter (Leta) Moeller of Levelland, TX., and Charles (Betty) Moeller, currently providing missionary work in Moscow, Russia. Also left to cherish her memory are her 6 grandchildren; Morgan, Taylor, Daniel, Jonathan, Cliff and Claire. She will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. Lois was employed by the Winterset public school system as a Teachers Associate for special education students. Serving the Lord, she was appointed a home missionary by the Southern Baptist Convention in July of 1975. Her love of the church had her involved in many activities such as; WMU (Women’s Missionary Union), teaching Sunday school, and enjoying the many duties of a pastor’s wife. The heart throb of her life was the ‘Girls In Action’, a mission studies group which mentored to many young women. Lois took pleasure in cross stitch and all forms of needlework. She also scrap booked and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Lois went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was 70. Visitation: 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, where family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., June 23, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Winterset. Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the First Baptist Church. Memorial: Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Albert and Clifford Moeller.
