She graduated from Winterset High School in 1939 and later married Marvin Wilson, Sr. on January 11, 1943. Marabelle was very proud of her family heritage being a descendant of Caleb and Ruth Clark, the first settlers of Madison County and family which built Clarks Tower, a famous Madison County landmark. Marabelle was a homemaker for a major portion of her life but after Marvin died in 1977 she began working as a teller at Farmers and Merchants State Bank in Winterset for 10 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Colonial Guild, and several bridge clubs. She loved to read, do needle work and play bridge but she especially enjoyed time spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Marabelle is survived by her children, Marv (Mary) Wilson of Overland Park, Kansas; Kathy Hendricks of Winterset; Becky (Don) Young of Indianola; a daughter-in-law, Deb Wilson Porter of Carroll; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin; a daughter, Cynthia Wilson; a son, Barry Clark Wilson; a son-in-law, Walter “Bud” Hendricks; two sisters, Marjorie Mantz and Lucille Hanson; and a brother, Ed Clark.
