Marguerite Ellen Weaver, daughter of Robert William Calvert Sr. and Eva C. Hatfield Calvert, was born January 20, 1911 in Greene County and died February 7, 2005 at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa at the age of 94 years, 1 month and 17 days. Marguerite attended grade school at Hardin #5 and attended Jefferson High School graduating with the class of 1931 Marguerite attended the Mount Horb Church and later transferred to the First United Methodist Church. During the war she went to Chicago and worked at the Guardian Electric Company. On February 25, 1944 she married Fred Peacock of Dana where they made their home until his death in 1974. On March 30, 1975 Marguerite was united in marriage to Wayne Weaver, they made their home on a farm near Cooper. After Wayne's death in 1979, Marguerite remained on their farm for three years. Marguerite loved to travel and went on many trips to different European countries. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Fred Peacock in 1974 and Wayne Weaver in 1979; and brothers: Harlan, Cecil and Russell Calvert. She is survived by her sisters: Romaine Calvert, Maxine Dunlop and her husband Duane, Nadine Bennett and her husband Verle, Wilma Dunlop, Treva Smith and Civilla "Billie" Pevestorf all of Jefferson; her brother Robert Calvert, Jr. of Charles City; two stepsons; Gene Weaver, Jefferson, Iowa and Walter Weaver of Lancaster, California, many nieces, nephews and friends.
