Marion Polzin

Marion Polzin, age 85, of Waukee, went home peacefully to Jesus on Sunday, September 19, 2021, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - McCalley Chapel in Adel. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in rural Van Meter. The family will greet friends on Thursday, at the funeral home, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Marion was born on March 31, 1936 in Webster, South Dakota. She was a member of the Resurrection Church in Ankeny. She enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

Marion is survived by her husband of 65 years, Claydon Polzin; her three children, Paulette (Michael) Philpott, Clay (Shel) Polzin and Cathilyn Polzin; her three grandchildren, Carlie and Ryan Philpott and Jenna Polzin; and her five great grandchildren, Tristan, Traxton, Trycen, Caitlin and Caleb Philpott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister; and her brother.
