Mary Jane (Armstrong) Brown

Mary Jane (Armstrong) Brown was born September 17, 1934 in Peru, Iowa, the daughter of Orville and Luella (Cornelison) Armstrong. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines and later married Richard Brown on November 25, 1950. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard of Des Moines; two daughters, Pamela VanZuuk (Dennis) and Marci Atkinson (Charlie) both of Des Moines; a son, Dennis Brown; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. Mary was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother-Memo. Mary passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2007 surrounded by her loving family at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. She was 73.
