Milissa Solum

Milissa Solum, 52 of Adel, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Milissa was born on January 24, 1968 to James and Patricia Keeble. She married Eric Solum on August 31, 2008. She was proud of her kids and loved to keep in touch with them. Her grandchildren were her world, and she was most happy spending time and playing with them. Date nights with Eric were always something she looked forward to after a long week. Milissa enjoyed vacations, especially to Door County, WI and Alaska. She enjoyed playing cards, games, and “Group Therapy“ nights with all of her girlfriends. She loved to entertain and cook for people – making WAY more food than was necessary, and especially making salsa. She was the life of the party and loved playing pranks on people. Milissa is survived by her husband, Eric Solum of Adel; her son, Trevor (Sarah) Keeble of Spring, TX and their children, Landon, Hailey and Sadie; her son, David Newton of St. Paul, MN and his children, Lana and Skyla; her mom, Pat Keeble of West Bend, IA; her sisters, Kim (Rob) Marks of Palmer, IA, Tessie (Bob) Hoch of West Bend, IA, and Annette (Andy) Wilson of Dows, IA; her mother and father in laws, Dave and Carol Solum of Decorah, IA; her sisters and brothers in law, Berit (Neal) Monroe of Ossian, IA and Kristy (Steve) McArthur of Calmar, IA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her dad, James Keeble; her niece, Kaylin Hoch; her brother in law, Todd Kenney; and her maternal & paternal grandparents. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
