Miss Kristie Kiefer

Kristie Lou Kiefer, daughter of Norman Jon Kiefer and Deborah Anne Moore Kiefer, was born December 5, 1969 in Jefferson, Iowa and died April 14, 2015 in Canon City, Colorado at the age of 45 years, 4 months, and 9 days old. Kristie attended school and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1988. She has fought her health her whole life. Kristie had two brain tumor surgeries. She had seizures and a stroke taking the left side of her body. The last stroke taking the right side. Kristie enjoyed roller skating, dancing, music and poetry. She loved her family and friends. Kristie moved to Canon City, Colorado in 2001 to live with her mom and dad. In 2003 she moved to Vali Assisted Living in Silver Cliff, Colorado. Kristie lived at Adams Court and worked in the hospital kitchen and at Genesis, later volunteering at the hospital, until her health failed. She was a devout Catholic and sang in the choir. Kristie was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert Moore, Martha Whetstone, Burton Wetzel and Leone & Virgil Kiefer, father Norman Kiefer (February 1, 2015) and uncle Richard Kiefer. Kristie is survived by her mother Debbie Kiefer of Canon City, Colorado; sisters Sheila Stevens (Kenny) of Scranton, Iowa and Brenda Harrison (Robert) of Longmont, Colorado; nieces & nephews: Sara Stevens of Scranton, Iowa, Philip Stevens of Scranton, Iowa, Melissa Stevens of Ralston, Iowa and Adam Kiefer (Jennifer) of Longmont, Colorado; many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
