Nancy Louise Holloway

Nancy Louise Holloway, 74, of Grimes, Iowa passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023.

Nancy was born in Barnesville, Ohio on April 28, 1949 to Leland Hannahs and Dorothy Delong, and lived in Ohio until 2003 when she moved to Iowa to be near her daughter, Darla. She worked in various jobs and was also a homemaker, tending to her garden and her homing pigeons. She was known to bake pies for her neighbors and was an avid reader. Her passion was taking care of animals both indoors and outdoors, her own and strays.

Everyone remarks about their conversations with Nancy, how she made them feel at home, how they could sit for hours and just talk and talk.  She was great at relating stories from the past and creating a hospitable home. She enjoyed baking, and shared her love of baking with her granddaughter, Emily.

Nancy is preceded in death by her son, Donnie Wayne Conard, her parents, her husbands, and her siblings: Joe Hannahs, Johnny Hannahs, Lily Eggeman, Paul Hannahs, Ansel Hannahs, Virgil Hannahs, and Jerry Hannahs.

She is survived by her two daughters, Darla Michael of Grimes, Iowa and Bria (Deb) Didszun, of West Des Moines, Iowa; her 3 grandchildren, Nick Michael of San Diego, Emily Michael of Des Moines, and Josh Hakimian of Los Angeles, and three of her siblings: Jeannie Elliott, Jack Hannahs and Renee Brown.
