Patricia Cooper

Patricia Lee Cooper, 73, passed away on October 22, 2023. She was born on August 8, 1950 to Herbert Rucker and Roseva “Shaver” Rucker in Rockford, Illinois.

Pat graduated from High School in 1968 then pursued her academic dreams at Drake University, earning her Bachelor’s degree in 1981. She continued her educational journey, obtaining her Master’s degree in Public Admin from Drake University in 1996. Pat’s passion and expertise in healthcare information systems shone brightly throughout her career. As a project manager, she played a pivotal role in transforming hospital environments, ensuring the efficient management of critical healthcare information systems. Her contributions to the healthcare field positively impacted the lives of countless patients and healthcare professionals.

Pat, known for her crystal blue eyes, sweet smile, and attention to detail, was full of life and love. She loved traveling, boating, spending time with family, and being with her best friend and husband, Rich.

She is survived by her sons, T. Scott (Robyn) Cooper and Brian (Shawna) Cooper; stepson, Brian (Christy) Perlberg; stepdaughter, Amanda (Brent) Nickell; grandchildren, Davis Cooper, Devin Cooper, Hayley Cooper, Braden Cooper; step-grandchildren, Andrew Nickell and Kai Perlberg; and sister, Diane Dafflitto; niece Dana Simbro; nephew Dane Dafflitto and families. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Perlberg, father, Herbert Rucker and mother, Roseva Rucker.
