Paul Freeman

Paul D Freeman, 76, passed away September 21, 2017 at Taylor House Hospice. He was born in Oelwein, IA to Rev Donald and Louise Freeman. He retired from American Republic Insurance Company after 43 years of service. Paul graduated from Birmingham High School and received a bachelor's degree from Parsons College. Paul is survived by his sister Betty Ratekin (Dan) of West Des Moines and his brother David (Mary) of Lincolnshire, IL. He has 5 nieces and nephews and 9 grand nieces and nephews. Family and friends were very important to him. Paul was avid reader, played golf and was active in Toastmasters. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory in Urbandale, with a memorial service starting at 11:00 AM.
