He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen & Leone and his spouses, Lois, and Regina. Raymond worked in construction most of his life. He was a peacetime Veteran for the United States Army, serving as a cook and was a member of the Union Plaster Tinder Local 507 in California. Raymond also volunteered at the Madison County and Union County Meal Sites and received an award from Governor Vilsack for Iowa’s Volunteer of the Year 2000. He is survived by his four children, Calvin Farwell and wife, Diann of Dallas, TX, Donna Farwell-Murphy and husband, Robert of Des Moines, IA, Steven Farwell and wife, Lynn of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Larry Farwell and wife, Denise of Corona, CA; 4 sisters, Inez Bennett and husband, Charles of Lorimor, IA, Dorothy Endres of Winterset, IA, LaVaun Wright and companion, Bob Beaman of Stuart, IA, and Charlotte Forsyth and companion, Keith Farlow of Winterset, IA; nine grandchildren, Jeff, Paula, Stephanie, Cristie, Raymond, Sam, Grant, Heath, and Brittany; five great grandchildren, Shea, Toby, Lois, KyLene, and Payten; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Raymond was born June 12, 1926 in Zion, Iowa, the son of Allen & Leone (Duff) Farwell. His marriage to Lois Bywater, took place on March 3, 1950 in Tarkio, Missouri; she preceded him in death on December 11, 1972. He later married Regina Chadwick in August of 1991; she preceded him in death on October 22, 2000.
