Ruth Bush, 94, of Winterset died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Winterset Care Center North in Winterset. A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5 at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at the First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for later designation. Online condolences may be left for the family at ochiltree.com. Ruth Pearl Bush, daughter of Albert and Angela (Preston) Libby, was born May 7, 1921 in Madison County. She attended a rural school in Madison County. Ruth was united in marriage with Leslie Bush on January 15, 1938 in Macon, Missouri. Ruth spent most of her life taking care of her children and doing the bookkeeping for Leslie’s blacksmith shop. Later in life, Ruth worked at the Feed Store and Mel Mar Café. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winterset and the WRC. Ruth volunteered at The Service Center and the Meal Site. She enjoyed fishing, embroidery, quilting and playing cards. Ruth loved to give hugs. She especially enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished and loved her family and friends. Ruth is survived by her children, Leslie D. Bush of Winterset; Beverly Lousignont of Casey; Evelyn (Lewis) Hamilton of Davis City; Margaret (Marvin) Hulse of Creston; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; many step grandchildren; sister, Betty (Glen) Stephson of Winterset; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leslie E. Bush in 2001; son Albert Bush; grandson, Garrett Harrison; step grandson, Ron Hamilton; step great grandson, Rick Hamilton; sons-in-law, Bill Kiefer; Roy Lousignont; grandson-in-law, Richard Lovett; brothers, Francis Libby; Harold Libby; sisters, Mary Rynearson; Inez Harrell and Ella Harrell.
