Shirley Mae Wolfe

On the morning of December 1, 2016 heaven opened its gates for another angel to join her angel waiting in heaven. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 5 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call after Noon Sunday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Shirley was born January 24, 1934 to Charles and Anita (Riddlebarger) Sherman. Shirley met her husband of 60 years on a blind date in 1952, marrying on February 28, 1953. To this union were born two children. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Denise (Todd) McAtee of Dallas Center, IA, son, Chuck Wolfe of Adel; grandchildren, Nicholas (Cory) McAtee of Missoula, MT, Christine (Nick) Hasty of De Soto, IA, Wade (Emily) McAtee of Urbandale, IA, Austin (Michaela) Wolfe of Saylorville Township; great grandchildren, Madison and Jack Hasty, Ashlen and Liam McAtee, Alex and Ben McAtee and Emerson Wolfe. Waiting for Shirley in heaven: husband Bob, parents, siblings, grandson Tyler Wolfe and great grandson Ethan McAtee.
