Wanda J. Lienemann Levorson, 86, of Adel, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the Perry Lutheran Home. Wanda was born on November 11, 1933 to Leo Morgan Tracy and Frances Marie (Hawkins) Tracy. She attended De Soto High School and graduated in 1951. After graduation, she went to work as a telephone line operator. Soon after, she married Peter T. Lienemann on August 24, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter and went to work on the farm. She was baptized on June 10, 1953 and confirmed into the church on June, 14, 1953. Following the loss of her first husband Peter, Wanda met Irwin Levorson and the two were joined in marriage on June, 19, 1993 at Trinity Lutheran Church. In 1996, Wanda and Irwin became members at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel. Wanda was known for being an excellent cook, except she was never able to master pancakes. Family and friends are going to miss her baked goods, and warm country style meals. Most of her years were spent working on the farm. She was no stranger to hard work and wouldn’t turn down a task because it was too challenging. Wanda was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was always available to lend a helping hand, no matter the situation. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Irwin Levorson; son, Paul (Sandy) Lienemann; step-son, Jerome Levorson; sister, Betty (Stan) Gustafson; grandchildren, Alecia (Mike) Waite, Jeffery (Megan) Lienemann, and Thomas (Christina) Lienemann; and 6 great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her first husband, Peter T. Lienemann; sons, Peter Jr. and Mark Lienemann; and brothers, Bill, Sidney and Leo Jr. Tracy. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2020 at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel. Memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2020 also at the Church.
