William "Bill" Weller

William “Bill” Roy Weller, 72, died on August 13, 2021 at home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 30, 2021 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines, IA., with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment with military honors will follow the mass at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, IA. Bill was born December 19, 1948 to Clarence and Margaret (Stokes) Weller in Emmetsburg, IA. Bill graduated from Mallard High School in 1967 and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. Bill married Cheryl Carroll on June 30, 2001. Together they owned and operated Weller Appraisal Services. Bill was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan. He loved golfing, the Chicago Cubs and most of all watching his grandchildren in all their activities. He was a proud grandpa! Bill is survived by his wife, Cheri; children, Jennifer (Todd) Hough of Graettinger, IA, Michael (Kristen) Weller of Navarre, FL, Ashley (Anthony) Laubenthal of West Bend, IA, Ericka Acosta of West Des Moines, IA, Leah Paton of Ankeny, IA, and Andrea (Josh) Beving, Nevada, IA; grandchildren, Madison, Max and Jace Hough, Katelyn, Amelia and Jackson Weller, Beau and Drew Laubenthal, Gabriela Acosta, Kylee, Karter, Kole and Kael Beving; sisters, Renee (Roger) Laws and Vicki (Jerry) Blaha; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
