January 13, 1981 — June 23, 2016

Adam died in a tragic and freak cycling accident on Thursday, June 23, 2016 while doing what he loved most. Adam is survived by his mum & dad, Lorna Reed of Torquay, England and Grant Pritchard of West Des Moines IA; his sisters Julie & Justine Pritchard, his stepfather David Reed, his stepmom Berlinda Pritchard, his grandma Rusty Piggott, his uncle & aunt Nick & Philippa Pritchard. Other family members include his cousins and his close friends who Adam considered as family. Adam was preceded in death by his other grandparents. Adam was educated at Torquay Boys Grammar School, and then Bristol University where he earned a 1st class honors Bachelor Science degree in Computer Science. Adam was a sensitive, loving, caring and honest human being who genuinely touched the lives of all who knew him; he was an exceptional mathematician and engineering scientist who could write like a true scholar. He was an original creator and a perfectionist. He had a passion for cycling and photography and enjoyed travelling, experiencing and enjoying different cultures. He also had an endless determination and somehow found the time to support and help others, despite testing personal challenges. He was taken from us much too soon! The visitation and celebration of life will be commence 2.00pm on Friday July 1st, 2016 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, 8201 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50322. Adam is being returned to his home town of Torquay, a memorial service will be held at Church of St George & St May, Cockington, Torquay at 2pm on Friday July 15th.
