Adis Orraine Covell

Adis Orraine Covell passed away at the age of 84 on Friday, June 22nd, 2018. Adis was born November 26th, 1933 to Ole and Alice Johnson in Howard County Iowa. Adis married Joseph Rollin Covell in 1954 and they had two children. Adis enjoyed retirement traveling around the world with her sister LaVonne. They visited many countries including Norway, Canada, England, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Monoco, Finland, Sweden, Greece, Italy and Russia. She especially enjoyed her time in Ireland with LaVonne and her daughter Lori (with husband and son). She documented each trip with a collage album/DVD of the many photos and stories she experienced. In her spare time she became an avid quilter and many family members now grace their homes with her quilts. She is survived by her daughter Lori (Manny) Troncoso of New Mexico; son Jeffrey Covell of West Des Moines; grandson Matthew Troncoso; 2 step grandchildren Carmen (Bryan) Brindeiro and Daniel Troncoso; 3 step great grandchildren Mischa, Judah and Noah Brindeiro. She is also survived by brother Paul Johnson of New Hampton and sister LaVonne Edeker of Allison. Adis is preceded in death by husband Joseph; her parents and brother Calvin Johnson. Adis cherished family and friend get-togethers and she had a smile for all she met. Her life accomplishment can be summed up by the joy others felt knowing her.
