Agnes C. Davidson

Agnes Clara Davidson, of West Des Moines, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the age of 87. A Visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 12:30 pm. Agnes (Aggie) was born on July 18, 1933 to William and Clara (Majeski) Richter in Bird Island, Minnesota. She moved to St Paul where she became an xray technician until she married Jack in 1956. Aggie and Jack moved to Hudson, WI for a short time until they moved to Sioux Falls, SD where they lived for 55 years. In 1987 Jack retired, he and Aggie have spent nearly every day together since. They filled their days with walks, daily mass, going out to lunch, reading, visiting friends and family. She loved baking chocolate chip cookies, playing card games, monopoly and putting puzzles together with her grandchildren. Aggie was an excellent cook and her family will think of her when they make her lasagna, egg dish and appetizer recipes. In 2015, they decided to move south to the Des Moines area and have resided ever since. Aggie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jack; her sons, Jim (Vikki) Davidson and Matt (Teresa) Davidson; her brothers, Chuck (Kay) Richter and Msgr. John Richter; her sisters Amy (Jim Shaeffer), Kathleen (Don) Neubauer and Patty O’Connor; her grandchildren, Angela (Jeff) Redington, Matthew (Kendall) Davidson, Anne (Mike) Moeller, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Hill, Andrew Davidson and Mara Davidson; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Aggie is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Margaret, Helen, Barbara and brother Butch.
