Alice Lee Hoffman

Alice Hoffman, age 92 of Perry, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the Kings Garden Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes in Perry, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. A private family graveside will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Perry, Iowa a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Tori's Angels, Suncrest Hospice, Fairview Ladies Aide, or the Perry Elks Lodge and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Online condolences may be left at www.carrisfuneralhome.com. Alice Lee Hoffman was born on September 9, 1931, at Waukee, Iowa to Raymond Samuel and Bessie N. (Keltner) Flinn. She attended the Adel High School. She was united in marriage to Russell Lee Hoffman at Methodist Church in Adel on February 26, 1950. She worked at Conklin Jewelers, Adel Sale Barn, Perry Sales Barn, and was a clerk for Hornsby Auction. She was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church and Fairview Ladies Aid. She loved cooking for her family and friends, baking, canning goods from the garden, bowling, golfing, and playing cards. One of her greatest joys was blessing others with one of her baked goods. Russ and Alice traveled to Germany, Alaska, and the Panama Canal. They also traveled many times to Idaho, California, Arizona, and Texas. In death she rejoins her husband Russell Lee Hoffman, parents, Raymond, and Bessie, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Left to cherish Alices memory are her sons, James "Rusty" Hanuman and wife Diane Hoffman of Eugene, Oregon, Robert Hoffman of Urbandale, Iowa, daughter Lorrie Motsick and her husband Bob Nevitt of Panora, Iowa, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, special friend Darrold Bice and many nieces and nephews.
