Allison Marie Schiltz

Allison Marie Schiltz was born February 6, 1982 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Loran and Margaret “Peg” (Rupp) Schiltz. She grew up in West Des Moines where she graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in 2000. She went on to St Louis University and then Grandview University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007.

Allison was a lifelong Catholic who was very devoted to her faith. She had a special devotion to our Blessed Virgin Mother. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed running, biking, fishing and dogs. She always said that God put dogs in her life especially when she most needed them. Ali was an accomplished artist focusing on mixed media art.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Peg and Steve Cashman, brother, Matthew (Sarah); sister, Audrey (Kevin) MacFerrin; nieces and nephews, Dannon and Lashley Bitting and Johnathan, and Joshua Schiltz and Collin, Jason and Andrew MacFerrin; and her grandmother Ardelle Rupp, as well as by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Loran Schiltz, and grandparents Rita and Lewis Schiltz and John Rupp.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the Mass.
