Alma Lyman

Service: Those left to honor Alma's memory are her children, Mary Lyman of Green Top, MO.; Amanda Elam of Iowa Falls; James (Tina) Lyman, Jr. of Winterset; John (Zena) Lyman of Greenfield; and Sallie Mead of Winterset; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Alma also leaves behind her companion, Art Wright of Lorimor; a sister, Agnus Walters of Delaware and a brother, John Morris of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James. Memorial: Alma E. Lyman, 72 of Winterset, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at the Madison County Health Care System in Winterset. Alma was retired. She worked as a waitress, dietary aid, and in manufacturing. She played bingo every Saturday night with her companion, Art Wright. She enjoyed making quilts and playing card games. No services are planned at this time. Alma E. Morris was born in Delaware on June 18, 1937 to James A. Morris and Amanda Sallie (Foraker). Alma married James E. Lyman, Sr., on August 3, 1954 in North Carolina. He preceded her in death in 1991.
