Amber Gray - Redfield

Amber Josephine Gray passed away December 28, 2014, after a difficult 5-day battle with complications from influenza A. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, with burial at Harper Cemetery near Redfield. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. In her short life she touched many lives through her fabulous talent as an artist and videographer. She loved drawing caricatures about life, reading the Warrior Cats series of books and many of her drawings were of the characters from those books. She had an extensive collection of Webkinz stuffed animals. Many of her videos included her Webkinz or other members of her family. Amber also loved to bowl, an activity shared by her whole family. She was such a kind and caring girl and a best friend to her brother, Aidan. Besides that she was like a sister to her very best friend, Sadie. Besides Aidan and Sadie, her best buddies were Pooflyn, her dog who she loved to dress up in Pooflyn's own wardrobe and her cat Maestro in addition to all the other family pets. Amber attended West Central elementary through the fifth grade and then started homeschooling with her brother. Amber and her parents are part of the Redwood Bible Chapel and she was active in Bright Lights, a young ladies Bible outreach group. Amber was born on November 26, 2000, to Rex and Lisa Gray. She is survived by her parents, brother Aidan, grandparents John Gray and Verla Kellar of Booneville, Don and Lois Broman of Urbandale and Chuck and Sue Rogers of Redfield and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Linda Gray.
