Andrew John Kuhn

Andrew Kuhn Jr., age 76 of Perry, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at the Perry Lutheran Homes Kings Gardens Campus in Perry, IA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Rosary held at 7:15 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery at Perry. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Partick's Church and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Andrew John Kuhn Jr. was born on July 22, 1944, at Indianola, IA to Andrew John and Grace Elizabeth (Whealon) Kuhn. He attended school at St. Mary's at Rosemont, IA, and St. Patricks grade school, and graduated from St. Patrick's High School at Perry. He was united in marriage to Marlene Mildred Zeman at St. Matthew's Church in Cedar Rapids, IA on January 19, 2008. Until his retirement, he was a Federal Meat Inspector for the USDA for 41 years. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member. He served on the Perry Fire Department and was an independent business owner with Amway. He enjoyed Taekwondo, placed 2nd in Missouri State black powder rifle match, archery, hunting, fishing, and dancing at Lake Robbins. He loved to spend time with his family. In death he rejoins his parents, Andrew and Grace, sister, Jacqueline Jean Kuhn, and a nephew-in-law Doug Fiedler. Left to cherish Andrews memory are his wife Marlene Kuhn, a brother, Joel (Marilyn) Kuhn, nephews, Bret (Sue) Kuhn, Rick (Linda) Kuhn, and Rob Kuhn, nieces, Sheila (Tim) Wallace, Michelle Fiedler, and Diedre Kuhn, several great nieces and nephews and two great great nieces.
