A service for Andy Bock was held 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2011 at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry, Iowa. Words of comfort were provided by Rev. Max Phillips of Christ Lutheran Church in Bouton, Iowa. Honorary casket bearers are Ryan Wilson, Kent Scheib, Chuck Scheib, Billy Burchfield, Mike Anderson, Scotty Carmen, and Bobby Muir. Casket bearers were Kacy Frantum, Body Onnen, Dave Umland, Mark Day, Billy Devilbiss, and Rich Lonsdale. Music was provided by David Menz and Elta Summerson. There was also recorded music. The songs were; "Sundown", "Who Will Stop The Rain", and " I Hope You'll Dance". Burial at Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry followed the service. Andrew Dean Bock was born May 16, 1967 in Perry, Iowa to parents Larry Dean Bock and Jolene Marie Frantum Bock. Andy, as he was lovingly known, died June 22, 2011 near Perry. He graduated from Central Dallas High School in 1985 and moved to Arizona for three years where he attended college. Andy moved back to Perry in 1990. Andy and Linda Johnson Ridge were blessed with a daughter Jolisa Jane. He later married Crystal Guinn and they were parents of Estella. Andy farmed and owned and operated Bock Total Tree Co. He especially enjoyed owning the Bock Race Team. Andy also enjoyed collecting rocks, shooting guns, hunting for mushrooms, collecting toy tractors, and loved Chevy trucks. He had a fascination for meteorites. Andy was a handyman, always very mechanical, working on all things that had to do with farming and planted many trees. His many interests led to his memberships in the NRA, NFIB, Franklin Mint, and Toy Farmers. Andy was a very generous man, not only with friends and most all he met, but with many charities including the Washington Township School, Perry Library and the Rippey Library. Andy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Bradley; grandparents, Charles and Agnes Bock, and Charles Frantum; and aunt, Barbara Bock. He is survived by: his wife, Crystal of Perry; daughters, Jolisa Johnson of Adel and Estella Bock of Perry; grandmother Mary Frantum of Perry; uncle Charles "Buster" and aunt Cynthia Frantum, of Woodward; stepmother JoEllen Hunter of Yale; brother Ryan Wilson; cousins: Kacy Frantum (Sue) of Ogden, Kelli Noland (Alan) of Woodward, Kristi Williamson (Dusty) of Osceola; and their children: Jessica, Spencer, and Tristan Frantum; Katie and Josie Noland; other relatives, many, many friends and his dog, "Double D." www.hastingsfh.com
