Ann Bopp

Ann Bopp, 81, of Winterset, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at MercyOne Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. 

Ann was born in Guthrie Center, Iowa on July 4, 1943, the daughter of Hayden Jr. and Beulah (Hafner) Nagle.

Ann was a proud homemaker. She loved crocheting and quilting cherished family heirlooms. Throughout her life, she was known for her holiday celebrations and Sunday dinners. Her love of cooking brought warmth to family gatherings. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ann is survived by her husband, James Bopp; her children, Michael Kersey, Teresa McGroarty, and Richard Kersey Jr. (Kristina); her grandchildren, Corey McGroarty (Stephanie), Autumn Kersey (Claire), Kyle McGroarty (Savannah), Mikala Boor (Eric) and Madison Kersey; her great-grandchildren, Liberty, Jace, Hudson, Paisley, Cedar and Joey. 

Her legacy will live on through the memories we shared and the love she gave us. We take solace in knowing that she is at peace and reunited with loved ones (her eldest son, Thomas Kersey; her brother, Melvin Nagle and her aunt, Geneva Holmes) who have gone before her. 

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Entombment will be in the columbarium at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a future designation.
