AnnaMae (Amis) Seemann, 94, of Woodward, left this world on November 12, 2024. Services for AnnaMae will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024, in the Eden Acres Chapel, Perry, IA. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and a visitation with family present will take place one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the Christ Lutheran Church in Perry. She entered this world on January 22, 1930, to Vayne and Viva (Hutt) Amis in Woodward, Iowa. When AnnaMae was two, the family moved to Bouton, Iowa. She attended Bouton School through grade 7. Returning to Woodward, AnnaMae completed her education with the graduating class of 1947.
On January 29, 1950, one week after her birthday, she was married to Kenneth Dean Seemann. They moved to the farm in rural Woodward where they raised a family until they retired. AnnaMae was active in Christ Lutheran Church and the American Legion & Auxiliary. She loved to chat, play games and crochet scratchers for everyone she loved.
AnnaMae is survived by her daughter, Paula (Seemann) Hoskinson of Tampa, FL; son, Ronald Seemann of Woodward, IA; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. AnnaMae was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Kenneth, her parents, her grandson, Lewis, her sisters, her son-in-law, Terry, and her daughter-in-law, Nancy.
