Ardeth N. Haines

Ardeth N. Haines, 91, of Winterset, passed away at her home on Friday, October 18, 2024.

She was born in Winterset, Iowa on June 1, 1933, the daughter of Earl and Nellie Cleo (Clopton) Williams. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1952 and married Fred Crusan in 1953. She was born and raised in Winterset and resided in Des Moines, Colorado and Arizona before moving back home in 1991. She later married Donald Haines in 1999.

Ardeth was a dedicated mother and homemaker. She also worked various secretarial jobs, including 30 years as a legal secretary in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Ardeth was a faithful believer in Christ; faithful and devout. She truly exemplified the fruits of the Spirit, especially in her love.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie; her children, Todd (Jennifer) Crusan, Brent (Veronica) Crusan, and Nancy Green; Donnie’s children, Mike (Cindy) Haines, Rogena (Gary) Fox, Angie (Kenneth) Low, and Scott (Barb Brown) Haines; 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Cleo; son, Scott Crusan; and brothers, John and Jerry Williams.

Services for Ardeth will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation.
