Arlene Coleman

Arlene Coleman, 93, of Corydon, Iowa, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025.

Born on July 1, 1931, in Bancroft, Iowa, Arlene was the daughter of William and Myrtle Custard. She worked as a dedicated postal worker for many years.

Arlene had a passion for crocheting and was especially proud of her many award-winning pieces at the Iowa State Fair. She enjoyed spending her time creating beautiful works of art and sharing them with others.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, February 24, 2025 at St. Pius Catholic Church in Urbandale, followed by a burial at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Gardens in Des Moines.

Arlene is survived by her children, Randy Baker, Diane Simmons, and Vickie Davila; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald, and her children, Gerald Simmons, Larry Simmons and Lael Simmons.
