Arleta Rae Grove

Arleta Rae Grove, daughter of Forrest Hunt and Clara Devoogt Hunt, was born December 3, 1929 in Yale, Iowa and died March 6, 2007 at the Perry Health Care Center in Perry, Iowa at the age of 77 years, 3 month and 3 days. Arleta attended school in early years in Yale and later in Perry, where she graduated from Perry High School. On October 14, 1949 she and Gene Grove were united in marriage in Adel, Iowa and made their home in the Dawson and Perry area. They were the parents of three sons, Keith, Gene, and Tim. Arleta was a homemaker and enjoyed game shows, care rides, camping, flowers and flower magazines, birds, and collecting dishes with rose patterns. her greatest love was family, espcially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arleta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene on November 15, 2001; sisters, Afton Cabelka, Donna Correy, and Arlis Dollarhide. She is survived by 3 sons, keith and his wife Connie of State Center, Gene Jr. of Newton, and Tim and wife Sharon of Perry; 10 grandchildren, Keith Carr, Jr., Kimberly Hoffman, and husband Mark, Vanessa White and husband Cory, Jamie Welch and husband Steve, Laura grove, Aaron Grove, Stacy Grove, Chris Grove, Kelli Grove and Jeremy Grove, 6 great-grandchildren, Gage Welch, Zach Hoffman, Krista Hines, Lexie Welch, Allie Hoffman, and mackie White; 3 brothers, Burdette Hunt and wife Merna, Kreigh Hunt and wife Shirley ,and Lynn Hunt; 4 sisters, Retha Masengill, Karean Selian, Sondra Paul, and Sherrill henry; other relatives and friends.
