Isabelle was the daughter of Frank and Fannie (Smith) Eischen and was born June 12, 1921 near Sewell, Iowa. She was a graduate of Lorimor High School and taught country school following her graduation. In May 1942 she married Charles Whitehead, and the couple farmed near Lorimor until retiring in Lorimor in 1984. She was preceded her in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Kristen Michelle Whitehead; three brothers, two sisters. Isabelle was a member of First Baptist Church in Lorimor, where for many years she had been active in Womens Missionary Circle, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Adult Fellowship, Bible studies and many special events and celebrations. Survivors include her husband Charles; their son Dennis Whitehead and wife Phyllis of Williamsburg, Iowa; two granddaughters, Kimberly Whitehead of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Nicole Gillette, her husband Jason and daughter Sarah Elizabeth of Brookfield, Wisconsin. Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, where family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. January 10, 2007 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset, Iowa. Service: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset Memorial: Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church in Lorimor or the Middle River Hospice in Winterset.
