Bernard Hess

Bernie is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Indianola; daughter, Debra Masocco of LaHabra Heights, CA; and a son-in-law, Al Masocco. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Fred. Bernard Loren Hess was born May 8, 1920 to Joseph and Gladys Hess of Boonville, Iowa. He was a retired farmer in Madison County and resided at The Village since 2002 with his wife, Marilyn of 57 years. Bernie died Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Wesley The Village Health Center in Indianola. He was 89. Service: Memorials may be directed to the Good Shepherd Fund at The Village in Indianola. Memorial: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at the St. Patrick's Irish Settlement Cemetery near Cumming, Iowa.
