Berniece Schultze - Adel

Berniece Schultze, 94, of Adel, Iowa, passed away on September 9, 2015 at Arbor Springs in West Des Moines. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, with burial following at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel. Family will greet friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time. Berniece was born March 24, 1921, in Dallas Center, Iowa, the daughter of Hershel and Mary (Reed) Brown. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Schultze on November 27, 1942, in Rolla, Missouri. Berniece's life revolved around her children and grandchildren. An expert gardener and cook, people knew they would be in for a great meal at her house. Berniece was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Those left to honor her memory include her children and their spouses: Barbara (Russell) Horn, Jr., Ben (Julie) Schultze, Betty (David) Griffin, Ronald (Erica) Schultze, June (Rick) Cook, and Janet (Robert) Peterson, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several family members on the Schultze side.
