Betty Ann Ripley

Betty Ann Ripley received her wings to Heaven December 16, 2015. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born to Henry and Jennie (Rasmussen) Bram on September 13, 1929, in Renwick, Iowa. She attended Vernon Consolidated Schools. On March 12, 1950, she and Dave Henry Ripley were united in marriage and moved to Perry where they lived for the remainder of their lives. She worked at the Perry Community Schools in the lunch program for 27 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Perry. She loved her family so very much and they came first to everything. She loved people and loved life. Left to cherish her memory include daughter, Rhonda Buchanan and husband, Paul, Indianola, IA; daughter, Sandy Burris and husband, Carroll Perry, IA; daughter, Cindy Stevens and husband, Butch, Perry, Iowa; six grandchildren; Matt Buchanan, San Francisco, Ca., Jason Buchanan, and wife, Angie, Indianola, IA., Jamie Burris, Des Moines, IA., Kristen Sass and husband, Matt, Perry, IA., Erin Stevens and fianc, Joe Bardeen, Auburn, Ala; Trevor Stevens and fiance, Ashley McClain, Lakeside, IA; three great-grandchildren, Jackson and Kylee Buchanan, Indianola, IA, Atlee Sass, Perry, IA, other relatives and many friends as well as the staff and special friends at Spring Valley. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, David, parents, Henry and Jennie Bram, three brothers, Jake Bram, Fred Bram, Lewis Bram, and six sisters, Matilda White, Doris Withers, Anita Olsen, Jennie Norden, Eldine Adams, Bertha Dunlap. Visitation 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Hastings Funeral Home, Perry, Ia. Betty's Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at Violet Hill Cemetery and lunch served at the First United Methodist.
